FINALLY ...
After two weeks of blog coverage and superb write-ups in the New York Sun, the Associated Press is running a brief but accurate story on the Air America/Gloria Wise Home scandal.
Michelle Malkin notes that most major newspapers with an AP feed are carrying the story.
The New York Times finally ran a sloppy story Thursday, buried at the bottom of their NY/Region section online. The story misquoted Al Franken and falsely painted the picture that right wing blogs were making a mountain out of a molehill. To the Times' credit, they did correct the Franken misquote.
But again I have to wonder ... if financial hanky-panky of this magnitude -- particularly a scandal that effectively shut down a charity for Alzheimer's patients and poor inner city children -- had been associated with Dr. Laura or Rush Limbaugh, would the mainstream media have waited two weeks before covering it?
Methinks not.
