It's All About Me, Part 7,856

Clinton_thisweek

Bill Clinton came out swinging at the Bush administration in yet another interview designed to make himself look like a hero.

Of course Clinton said nothing new: Bush screwed up FEMA after Clinton personally saved it (others would beg to differ), Bush invaded Iraq with no evidence of WMD's (Oh, really?), Bush's tax cut is increasing the deficit while only benefiting the top 1% of Americans, including the long-suffering Bill Clinton.  Wow, glad to know that I'm rich, Mr. Impeached former President -- and if your "cut" bothers you so, then why don't you just give the money back?

But check out how the Yahoo news story begins: " Breaking with tradition under which US presidents mute criticisms of their successors..."  This is something new?  Clinton has been critical of Bush ever since his inauguration six years ago.  Clinton has gone on the attack when it would boost his image, and then he has turned completely around and praised Bush, even raised money at Bush's behest, when he thought it would boost his image.

Anyone seeing a theme here?

It's all about Bill Clinton, Savior of the World.  (Make sure you read Double Toothpicks' take on that idiotic claim.)

Ugh.

Michelle Malkin also notes that the finger-wagging photo in the Yahoo story is eerily reminiscent of Clinton's infamous "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky" finger wag.

UPDATE:  John Hinderaker of PowerLine writes that this interview is unprecedented; I would guess because Clinton focused solely on criticisms of Bush.  Still, my point about Clinton's non-stop criticism of the Bush administration holds: see here, here, here, and here for starters.

Bill Clinton appears to have decided to adopt the worst characteristics of Jimmy Carter's post-presidency or perhaps he is just angling for a Nobel prize. He was everywhere yesterday, including "This Week" where we saw the bizarre scene of a... [Read More]

If I did not know better I would think that ole Bill is getting ready to run for President again. Oh, wait, maybe he is. Hillary will be running in 08 so that means we would get 2 for the price of 1 again. That would mean he in fact would be president again. God forbid. I also heard that he is being courted to run for CA Governor. That would not surprise me but he would have to move to CA and if he did that, he would have to wait for Hillary to run for President then she could move out of NY and they could make CA their home state and then he could run for Governor. Then she would be President and he would have his own title. Oh my God what a scary thought. Those two have way to much love for themselves to think they could accomplish all that but then he did become President. Let us all pray and pray hard that that is where it all ends. No future Clinton for President. CA can have him though.
