GodBlogCon photoblogging Oct. 14 edition

Today's GodBlogCon sessions were "all killer and no filler," and challenged all of us to be responsible, informed, vigilant, and courteous in our blogging and in our discourse with other bloggers and commenters.  And they reminded us that as Christians, our blogs serve both as a tool to build community within the Church, and as a means of evangelism to reach those who are both outside the realm of the Church and who are excluded from the Christian worldview.

The conference was live blogged by those fortunate enough to have a working wireless connection ...

... while those of us without a working wireless connection had to do it the old fashioned way ...

The morning plenary session panel included (L-R) David Wayne (Jollyblogger), Joe Carter (Evangelical Outpost) and Andrew Jackson (Smart Christian)

Radio personality, author, and blogger Hugh Hewitt did Friday afternoon's radio program remotely from the Biola University library ...

Now THAT's blogging!

Dinner was high in both calories and IQ

And we finished the evening with a panel discussion moderated by Hugh Hewitt and featuring (L-R) John Mark Reynolds, Mark D. Roberts, and Tod Bolsinger.

Today was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn, visit, make friends, and enjoy time together within the Body of Christ.

More posts to come, including some short features on my new blogging friends and some thoughts on the topics that repeatedly bubbled up during the GodBlogCon sessions.

(BTW, Stacy Harp tactfully shamed the conference leadership for not having women bloggers on any of the discussion panels.  Look for that to change next year!)

More classic jazz in the Virtual Victrola tomorrow, too.

Terrific post and great pictures! I enjoyed meeting you and wish we'd had more opportunity to actually talk. I'm looking forward to next year's conference!

God bless!
