Life and death, liberal style
I had been fooling around with an original piece about the confusing morality that permeates the political Left's positions regarding life and death:
Abortion - perfectly fine
Euthanasia - the only humane thing to do
Executions per sharia law or Muslim "honor killings" - their problem, not ours
Terri Schiavo's starvation - if it hurts Bush's approval rating, we're all for it
Capital punishment - a disgraceful sin
Casualties of war - inexcusable barbarism
I never finished my piece, but alas, blogger Bookworm has pretty much written a parallel piece for The American Thinker: Democrat Death Trip.
What do you think? Has politics really trumped the sanctity of human life for the Left?
