Michelle Malkin notes the closing of the US Repeating Arms Company in New Haven, Conneticut, which manufactured the Winchester Repeating Rifle, the "Gun that won the West." I'll always remember the Winchester as the gun fired by Chuck Connors during the opening titles of "The Rifleman" TV show.
