Meet Storm, a one year old Russian Blue mix that we adopted this fall. Well, actually he adopted us. He is a beautiful cat, frisky, playful, and a real attention grabber. He has been neutered, he is FHIV/FeLV negative and all his vaccinations are up to date.
Unfortunately, we have two older cats, both 13 years old, who can't stand him. They have banned him from the upstairs, and they are constantly stalking him. Storm doesn't attack, but he always defends himself. We are tired of breaking up cat fights.
Storm likes to be an indoor/outdoor cat. He is litterbox trained. He knows how to use pet doors, but he prefers to be let in or out through the main door. He enjoys prowling around outdoors, especially in our garden area, where he catches lots of field mice. He is an awesome mouser. But we also have the misfortune of having a mean ferule tomcat who prowls our neighborhood, so Storm gets attacked every so often when he is outdoors.
He doesn't want to stay indoors because of our other cats, and it is dangerous for him to be outdoors because of the tomcat in our neighborhood. So we have decided to find him a new home.
Storm really is a people cat. He loves to follow you around and rub your legs when you are standing. He will hop up in your lap for petting, and he likes to snuggle on the bed or atop a blanket on the couch. However, he is still a kitten, so he is bit frisky and wild sometimes, and he occasionally nips and swats. For this reason, he might not be good around small children. But if you have a lot of experience with cats, it's not a problem.
If you'd like a great feline companion, and you have tolerant pets (or no other pets at all) then you would love Storm. We are charging a $60 adoption fee in order to weed out people who aren't serious, and to help cover the cost of the neutering and his shots and exams. Hi Mike,
I'm a regular reader (and so often blessed by your words - thank you!), and major cat-adorer. I do hope that by now Storm has found a wonderful home...but if not, I suggest a couple of excellent resources to find that home:

http://www.petfinder.com/classifieds/classifieds.html (you can post Storm's pic/story)
Blessings to you, and to dear Storm.
Your sis in Christ,
Mimi
