The Bobcats played a DdPauw University prom in 1937. My roommate knew Crosby and invited the band to overnight at the Phi Delta Theta house. I, being a freshman, had to give up my bed to Irving Fazolo -- he 300 pound New Orleans clarinetist---the mtttress was never the same. The group included Bob Haggart, Eddie Miller, Yank Lawson, and Ray Bauduc...when they jammed Ray played his brushes on a lamp shade.
