Two interesting stories with a common thread:
- An NAACP leader has successfully intimidated an Ohio school into canceling a performance of the well-known play based on Agatha Christie's novel "Ten Little Indians" because 70 years ago the book was originally published with the title "Ten Little Niggers."
- In Arizona, a 9 year old boy was suspended from school and accused of a "hate crime" because he disparagingly used the phrase "brown people" -- but only after being coaxed into using the phrase after it was suggested to him by an adult.
The connection? In the Ohio case, the NAACP official, Gary Hines, "... operates GPH Consultants - a diversity training company." And in Arizona, the adult who questioned the 9 year old boy "... happens to be the mother of the student with whom he is having a conflict—and she happens to work for Abraham Lincoln as a detention-room officer."
Yep, that's right -- both accusers stand to professionally benefit from their political correctness crusades. Which just goes to show that even if if you claim to fight for "justice," you can still be one of the bad guys.
(Both Michelle Malkin and LaShawn Barber have more on the Ten Little Indians story. By the way, I swiped my title from a MM commenter.)
